The chickens sure have been through quite an eventful fall. They went through their 18 month molt which believe me was not pretty. Now they are all big and fluffy and beautiful again and seem very pleased with themselves. They took a well deserved break from egg laying and I actually bought another dozen today. Of course this afternoon when I let them out I found a big, beautiful fresh egg. Love those girls. They are definitely getting treats tomorrow! Hopefully we are now going to get back on track or at least enough so that I don't have to buy eggs again.
