Missing Stephanie

I decided to make a special post about sending my dear, darling Stephanie off to the west coast in Sept. It has been so hard to watch Stephanie head off on this wonderful adventure.  I know how important it is to embrace the growth and independence of your children but in reality it tears your heart out.  She is happy and healthy, living with someone she loves and enjoying living with her doggies. I am blown away by the wonderful adult she is and am grateful every day that I get to be her Mom and share these things with her.  In the beginning, the feelings were all about sadness and loss but now have changed to happiness for her and joy in watching her leading her life.  I will always prefer Stephanie to be here (where I can keep my eye on her) but fully understand that it is best that she be where she wants to  be.
